European Skydiving Symposium in Polen
Deze winter voelt voor een aantal onder ons iets langer en grijzer dan normaal. Maar het is bijna voorbij en er is nog genoeg te doen om ons voor te bereiden voor het nieuwe seizoen!
Klusjes, reparaties, repacks, roosters en nog heel veel meer. En het bijleren en onze kennis opfrissen moet zeker niet vergeten worden!
Daarom gaan wij naar het European Skydiving Symposium in Polen.

Geen beurs
Volgens de organisatoren is het geen beurs maar een serieuze conferentie. Dat sluit niet uit dat het heel leuk zal zijn!
Het evenement vindt plaats op het internationale vliegveld van Warsaw, van 17 tot 19 maart. Alle praktische informatie is te vinden op de website: https://skydivingsymposium.eu/en/

LET OP! Je hoef geen rigger of instructeur te zijn om deel te nemen aan dit evenement.
Sterker nog – we raden het aan elke enthousiaste springer aan om naar zo’n evenement af te reizen. Je kunt het zien als een soort ‘crash course’ voor de veelzijdige parachutespringer. Het is een soort ‘safety day’ maar dan in het kwadraat, met allerlei belangrijke spelers uit parachutespringen wereld, zoals fabrikanten en coaches.

IF I AM A BEGINNER, IS THERE ANY SENSE IN COMING TO THE EVENT?
YES! In our agenda we have presentations for people who recently started jumping (first or second season), as well as for those who are already experienced skydivers or instructors.
It depends on you and which presentations you want to see. In our special mobile application you’ll be able to create your own plan of the day. You can also choose which days you want to take part in.
WILL PRESENTATIONS BE TRANSLATED?
Yes. We provide simultaneous translation. Both Polish and English presentations are going to be translated by Aleksandra Sobczak, one of our skydiving friends! Thanks to her knowledge and experience the translation is going to be great!
I WOULD LIKE TO START SKYDIVING. IS THIS EVENT FOR ME?
For sure! A lot of the presentations will be very interesting for you and will let you know the specifics of the sport and gear. You’ll get to know a lot of people from our skydiving community, as well as meeting dropzone representatives. You will then be able to discuss your AFF and choose where to take the course.
Some presentations might be too technical or advanced for people who don’t skydive yet, but during these you can fly on parachute flight simulator in the lobby!
ARE THE PRESENTATIONS GOING TO BE PUBLISHED AFTER THE EVENT?
No. The real value is what speakers actually tell you from the stage. Slides are usually only a comment, background or bullet-point information. PDF alone, without a comment might be misleading which is the last thing we want in our sport.
